This fabulous kite was designed by Lam Hoac, based in Canada but originally from Vietnam.  The Vietnamese origin of the kite and use of modern materials give it the best of both worlds.  The kite flies superbly, and makes a fantastic sight in the air.  With its 3m (10ft) wingspan, it’s sure to attract attention anywhere it’s flown.  It’s distributed by Flying Wings Kites, but at the time of writing has limited availability.  Mine came from Metropolis-Drachen in Germany, a very good place to deal with.  The price is 299 euros – not a cheap kite, but certainly worth the price if you appreciate good design.
