This style of kite is known as a “dragon” regardless of what the graphics depict.  The “Beast” is one of three designs from Into the Wind, the others being “Cobra” and “Beauty.”  The graphics are all done in different-coloured fabrics (known as applique work), whereas designs on cheaper dragons are often printed.  These kites fly very well, and look great with their 30ft length fluttering in the breeze.  Good kites for children or adults, they require no assembly – just take them out of the bag and pop them into the air.  Made of nylon taffeta with fibreglass frame, they are priced (2012) at $59.
